Used machinery for biomass and wood chips

The wood-chip chain starts from scrap wood and ends in a boiler: in between you need shredding and screening to reach a regular, sellable particle size.

  1. The shredder reduces logs, branches and scrap wood; the trommel screen separates the fine fraction from oversize to be re-shredded. That pair of machines turns waste into fuel.

  2. For clean energy wood the high-speed shredder gives throughput; for mixed or dirty material you start with a slow one. The screen downstream decides chip quality.

  3. We sell refurbished used machinery for the biomass chain and stock the parts that wear out: hammers, teeth, ring gears, gearboxes and screen brushes.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a chipper or is a shredder enough for wood chips?
A knife chipper gives the most regular chip from clean wood; a shredder also handles scrap and mixed wood. With a screen downstream, shredded wood becomes classified fuel too.
Which screen do I need for wood chips?
A mobile trommel screen with the mesh matching your boiler's required size. Our used stock includes screens you can inspect running on site.
Do you ship biomass shredder parts across Italy?
Yes: hammers, teeth, ring gears and gearboxes ship from our Belpasso warehouse across Italy and Europe.
