Applications
Used machinery for biomass and wood chips
The wood-chip chain starts from scrap wood and ends in a boiler: in between you need shredding and screening to reach a regular, sellable particle size.
The shredder reduces logs, branches and scrap wood; the trommel screen separates the fine fraction from oversize to be re-shredded. That pair of machines turns waste into fuel.
For clean energy wood the high-speed shredder gives throughput; for mixed or dirty material you start with a slow one. The screen downstream decides chip quality.
We sell refurbished used machinery for the biomass chain and stock the parts that wear out: hammers, teeth, ring gears, gearboxes and screen brushes.

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a chipper or is a shredder enough for wood chips?
- A knife chipper gives the most regular chip from clean wood; a shredder also handles scrap and mixed wood. With a screen downstream, shredded wood becomes classified fuel too.
- Which screen do I need for wood chips?
- A mobile trommel screen with the mesh matching your boiler's required size. Our used stock includes screens you can inspect running on site.
- Do you ship biomass shredder parts across Italy?
- Yes: hammers, teeth, ring gears and gearboxes ship from our Belpasso warehouse across Italy and Europe.
