Used shredders for plastics, municipal waste and RDF
Hard plastics, mixed waste and municipal waste call for a slow pre-shredder: it opens bags, reduces bulky items and drums and prepares the flow for magnetic separation and screening.
Pre-shredding is about torque and tolerance to foreign objects: that is why slow single-shaft machines with configurable rotors are used, changing output size by changing teeth and combs. Hard plastics, drums and film are among the documented materials of these machines.
