Used shredders for wood, green waste and pruning

Green waste and pruning on one side, scrap wood and bulky items on the other: different jobs, different machines. A high-speed shredder gives throughput on clean material, a slow single-shaft one forgives dirty wood.

  1. For cuttings, pruning and clean wood the high-speed hammer shredder is the typical machine of platforms and farms: hammer rotor, sizing grid, plant-level throughput. Series like the Doppstadt AK were built for green waste, scrap wood, pallets and roots.

  2. Furniture, frames, beams and demolition wood need torque, not speed: the slow single-shaft machine tears material against a comb and tolerates nails and hardware. Machines like the Doppstadt DW 3060 are the reference for bulky and demolition material.

  3. At our Belpasso yard you will find both families, used and refurbished, running in front of you. Hammers, teeth, combs and gearboxes are in stock for multiple brands, shipped across Italy.

Frequently asked questions

High-speed or slow shredder for wood?
High-speed pays off on green and clean wood; slow on dirty wood, bulky items and demolition, because it tolerates nails and foreign objects. Tell us your material and we will point you to the right family.
Can a slow shredder handle nails and hardware in wood?
That is its home ground: low speed tolerates foreign objects far better than a fast rotor. Iron is then removed with a magnetic separator.
Is a high-speed shredder also good for pallets?
Yes: scrap wood and pallets are among the documented uses of high-speed hammer shredders, together with green waste and roots.
